Top rated mobile app development company in London on Clutch
In January 2021, Clutch named Ingenious App Studios a top rated mobile app development company in London. Clutch is a reviews site where businesses rate the agencies they hire. So the recognition came from the people we built apps for. In September 2026, our Clutch profile shows a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 15 reviews.
This post explains what the award meant, how Clutch checks the reviews behind it, and how to use reviews like these when you choose who builds your app.
What the Clutch award means
Clutch's lists of top companies draw on client reviews, so the award reflects what clients said about real projects: what we built, how the work went and what they would change. For a small studio, being called a top rated mobile app development company by clients matters more than a trophy. A founder reading the reviews can see how we behave once the contract is signed.

How does Clutch check its reviews?
Clutch checks that each reviewer is a real person who worked with the company. A reviewer signs in with LinkedIn, a Google account or a company email address, and Clutch uses that to confirm their identity and work history. If it can't confirm those details but the review is still useful, it publishes it labelled Not Verified.
You can read the full process in Clutch's help centre. Checks like these make fake reviews harder to post. But no system is perfect, so the Not Verified label is worth noticing.

As of September 2026, Ingenious App Studios has a 4.9 rating from 15 client reviews on Clutch. Two of the comments in them:

Not every review is five stars, and that's useful too. The director of a fantasy sports platform gave us 4.0 and wrote that we were "always open to feedback and willing to adapt quickly when needed". You can read all of them on the profile.
How to use Clutch reviews when you choose an app developer
Reviews are one of the few ways to see how an agency works after you've paid the deposit. When you read any agency's Clutch profile, including ours, look past the headline rating:
- Read the lowest-rated reviews first. They show what went wrong and how the agency handled it.
- Check the dates. A high rating built on reviews that are all several years old tells you little about the team today.
- Look for projects like yours. A review of a first version built for a founder tells you more than one about a large corporate system.
- Notice the Not Verified label. Those reviews may be honest, but Clutch couldn't confirm who wrote them.
- Ask to speak to a past client. A reference call lets you ask the questions a written review doesn't answer.
